Scope of Position: To lead and oversee the Transload Department, ensuring the delivery of exceptional support and service to all inland offices being serviced by the LAX District. This Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient service processes and working collaboratively with the LAX Domestic (Transcon) and Distribution departments. Continuously improve service quality to enhance organizational performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment both locally and with the inland offices.
Position Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide an elite customer experience to our inland offices:
Single point of contact throughout the entire process through final delivery
Provide solutions quickly
Procure and find market competitive pricing
Proactive communication throughout the entire process
Communicate in a way that provides trust and transparency
Develop KPI’s and publish monthly performance
QBR’s with key inland offices quarterly
Provide periodic market updates as necessary to keep stakeholders informed of the market conditions in the LAX District
Balance workload through Expeditors and Third Party facilities
Identify additional transload solutions within our approved supplier network, or source new approved service providers.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent required
10+ years in domestic transportation and/or international transportation
Successful candidates must pass a background check
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department’s needs
Must be able to commute to the city of Carson, CA
Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
Comfortable working in both a professional business environment and warehouse environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Associates or Undergraduate Degree Preferred
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)
Ability to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organized
Demonstrated ability to be proactive in thought and action
Strong organizational skills
Analytical with a strong attention to detail
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
Willing to pitch in and help on last minute projects or assist team members
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Has a demonstrated strong work ethic, and reliability

Pay rate for this position is $125,000 per year salary
