Scope of Position:
Manage warehouse visitors, dock door management, timely and accurate notification to floor staff of what is needed, data entry of driver arrival, events and scanning. Ensure drivers are turned around quickly and auditing the documentation to ensure that the driver is dropping/receiving the right cargo. Ensuring that our warehouse visitors adhere to our Safety & Security policies.
Works with: Warehouse leadership product operations, Security Health and Safety, Information Systems, Trade Compliance.
Facility Compliance
Ensure a safe and secure work environment, following all OSHA rules, as well as state and local laws.
Follow warehouse procedures and Expeditors Security & Safety standards.
Maintain a clean and professional facility meeting all the warehouse excellence requirements.
Protects company assets and ensures no damages.
Adhere to all company, country compliance standards (ITAR, DG, Wood pallets, TSA, CFS, etc)
Report any issues or needs with inventory of packaging materials and supplies
Ensures lift is maintained when in use and is plugged in properly at the end of the shift, including IS equipment.
Responsibilities:
Check-In all Warehouse Visitors through Proxyclick in a timely manner. Checking out of drivers.
Monitoring the progress of the driver in Proxyclick.
Ensuring that visitor is checked in Veroot when dropping off air cargo.
Manage vetted vendors and ensuring visitors are escorted (unless they are vetted).
Ensuring visitors have badges and vests and are adhering to our H&S standards.
Use our systems to determine why the driver is at our facility and what they need.
Ability to interact with office to meet customer service standards.
Understand department product process, files and scripts
Ensuring events or scripts are updated timely.
Scanning documents
Sealing trucks
Sending & replying to requests
Managing warehouse request box
Keeping the board updated when applicable
May prepare shipments (print or copy documents, labels).
Contributing to a clean and safe warehouse environment by keeping the entrance and desk area clean and organized.
Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.
Adhere to all company, country compliance standards (ITAR, DG, Wood pallets etc.)
Education: high school graduate
Experience: entry level, no previous logistics or warehouse experience required
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
Must be organized, timely and manage time wisely
Have strong data entry and computer skills
Professional and friendly demeanor
Must be able to lift at least 25 # and bend and twist from time to time.
Must wear company uniform
Must have forklift certification
Personal Development:
Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
Attend training classes when required.
Complete mandatory training when required.
