To coordinate the movement of shipments on behalf of Expeditors’ customers. Manage the shipment process from pick-up at origin to delivery at destination. Manage the administration of all documentation required for each shipment. Liase with and deliver constant feedback to the customer on shipments as well as dealing with any queries.

Communicate and instruct internal colleagues in the Warehouse and Transport department on the shipments arriving into the Expeditors facility. Monitor and police the custom's procedures during the shipping process ensuring that Expeditors comply with these procedures at all times.

Follow the Expeditors Corporate Culture including the cultural attributes and enforce company policy.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate air import shipment requests with origin offices

  • Process daily ship log, Handovers, Stat 1, POD’S

  • Creating files for Integrators, directs & other forwarders

  • Checking the fax for Integrator shipments hourly

  • Check, monitor & update the London Gateway manifest

  • Arranging airport collections & customer deliveries

  • Customer shipment requests

  • Coordinating express shipments request & special deliveries

  • Ensure written confirmation is received from Customers prior to arranging express shipments or special deliveries

  • Confirming shipment arrival details

  • Checking the invoice not billed report on a daily basis

  • Ensuring the assigned Daily In-Transit reports are updated to a satisfactory standard and sent at the agreed time

  • Customer Invoicing

  • Ad-hoc customer requests

  • Keep up to date with PDC training ensuring you are meeting the required standard

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Knowledge & Experience of the Freight Industry and Current Rates.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages incl. Word & Excel

  • Data Entry Skills

  • Minimum 1-2 year customs clearance experience an advantage

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

  • Exceptional level of Attention to Detail

  • Ability to work on own initiative in a busy environment

  • Proven Time Management & Organisational Skills
